Cable Chain is the most common type of jewellery chain and is a much reduced version of the large chains used on board ships. It is formed of individual oval or round links interlocked in a uniform pattern, with each link lying at ninety degrees to the next.

Each section of a Cable Chain is exactly the same shape and size throughout giving it a simple but classic look.

Variations on this design include Double Link Chain or Parallel Link Chain as well as the use of rectangular links, square links and links that alternate in size.
